I have a need for technical help on a part-time basis to help work down some backlog. This could be something to do after your regular job during the week, or something to do on the weekend. The best candidate will have a good understanding of electronics and be able to read a schematic. He/she should also understand some of these topics:
* how temperature controllers work (PID, fuzzy logic, relay control, SSR, alarm bands, etc.),
* how pressure regulators work (high pressure, low pressure, back pressure, single stage, dual stage, etc.),
* how power supplies work, namely 12 vDC and 24 vDC,
* how servomotors work,
* how RS-232, RS-485 work and how to communicate with slave devices (servomotors, temperature controllers, etc.),
* how to work safely around pressurized gases (60 psig typical but up to 2500 psig at the gas cylinder connection),
* how to utilize PCs and Microsoft Office (Excel mainly),
* how PLCs work (and maybe how to adjust/trim an existing program),
* and more
We are a non-smoking facility. The work is indoors in a climate controlled building. Our customers are mainly large industrial companies across the U.S.A..
