There is also a custom glass top to protect either the desk or dresser, and a conversion kit to setup the twin beds as a space-saving bunk bed.
Founded in 1899, Sprague & Carleton began in Keene, NH crafting maple rocking chairs and settees. By the 1920s, the company's line also included hutches, tables, dry sinks, and other fine furniture.
Sprague & Carleton earned a reputation that continues today for exceptional craftsmanship such as dovetail-joined drawers with brass hardware, timeless mid-century charm, and heirloom-quality durability. Each piece was built from locally-sourced solid rock maple (no cheap Ikea-style fiberboard!), hand-finished for a rich patina that only improves with age.
The Keene factory produced furniture for nearly nine decades until closing in 1988. This bedroom set, in excellent condition, is a rare opportunity to own a slice of New England furniture history. It's also a real bargain - you'll find that single Sprague & Carleton pieces sold online are often priced higher than this entire set!
