About The Ridge House
The Ridge House is a modern American restaurant in Wood-Ridge, serving reimagined classics in an elevated yet comfortable setting — Restaurant, Bar & Patio, and a place where Wood-Ridge comes together.
We're looking for a Bartender who brings energy, warmth, and attentive service to every shift.
Duties
Prepare and serve signature cocktails, classic cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages, following house recipes and mixology standards.
Greet guests at the bar, take orders, recommend drinks, and suggest pairings with our menu — from a Picanha steak to a burger or salad.
Support service-well drinks for the dining room, working closely with servers to keep service smooth.
Prepare the bar for service, including batch prep, stocking, garnishes, and keeping recipes consistent from drink to drink.
Process cash transactions, operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, and complete basic math accurately.
Keep the bar and service areas clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and food-handling practices, including allergy awareness.
Help maintain a welcoming bar and patio atmosphere — warm hospitality, personal and thoughtful service.
Your impact: accurate, welcoming service helps guests enjoy their visit, come back, and supports an efficient team.
Experience
Bartending, serving, cashiering, or other food service, restaurant, food industry, or hospitality experience is valuable.
Knowledge of spirits, wine, craft beer, cocktails, or beverage recipe development is required.
Full-service or upscale-casual restaurant experience is especially helpful; bar management experience is also an asset.
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, processing cash transactions, sales, retail math, and basic math supports success.
Strong customer service, time management, and food safety awareness are important.
What we're looking for
Someone who enjoys hospitality, works well under pressure, and takes pride in a well-made drink. A team player who communicates clearly with servers, the kitchen, and managers. Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail — from the first greeting to the final check.
Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
