The Shell Sorter 3-Pack of stacking trays fits onto a standard 5-gallon bucket. The .380 ACP optional sorting plate is included. Shake to quickly sort mixed ammunition brass by size.
When stacked on top of a standard 5-gallon bucket with the other color-coded trays, the complete system separates firearm calibers as follows:
Yellow Tray (Top): Holds .45 ACP, .45 GAP, .44 Mag, .50 AE, .45 Colt, .308, .243, and 7.62x39mm.
Blue Tray (Middle): Holds .40 S&W, 10mm, .357 Mag, and .38 Special.
Black Tray (Bottom): Holds 9mm Luger, .380 ACP, .38 Super, and .223 Rem.
Anything smaller than a 9mm (such as .22 LR casing, cleaning media, and debris) falls entirely through the slots into the bucket underneath.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Stack the Pans: Nest the three pans together on top of a 5-gallon bucket with
Yellow on top,
Blue in the middle, and
Black on the bottom.
Pour in Brass: Empty your unsorted range brass into the top yellow tray.
Shake to Sort: Give the stacked unit a few vigorous sideways shakes. The smaller brass casings will automatically filter down through the slotted grates into their corresponding color-coded trays.
Unstack: Separate the nested trays to collect your cleanly sorted brass.
After sorting all of your casings, place the steel Shell Sorter metal separator plate into the yellow or the blue Pan. It is specifically engineered to separate .380 ACP brass from 9mm Luger brass. These two calibers have nearly identical case diameters.
⚠️ Critical Rule: Do NOT place the .380 plate inside the black 9mm pan. The .380 brass will get trapped in the narrow space between the metal plate and the bottom plastic grates of the black pan, forcing you to constantly take the assembly apart to dislodge stuck cases.
