L'Apéro is a French wine and cheese bar in the heart of Kreuzberg. We serve carefully selected wines, artisanal cheese boards and charcuterie in a warm, relaxed setting. We are a small, close-knit team with a family feel, and every person in it matters.
The role
We are looking for someone who loves people, enjoys good food and wine, and wants to grow with us. You will start as a server and board maker, and over time become Samuel's person of trust, the founder's right hand in the bar. You will be the face of L'Apéro: welcoming guests, presenting the menu, recommending wines and making sure every table leaves happy.
Your main responsibilities:
- Welcoming and seating guests with warmth and attentiveness
- Presenting the menu and explaining the concept
- Recommending wines and pairing them with our cheese and charcuterie boards
- Preparing the boards: cheese, charcuterie and sides, with care and consistency
- Taking orders and ensuring smooth, attentive service
- Keeping tables clean and the floor running
- Opening and closing the bar, and supporting the team during busy periods
Profile
- Basic wine knowledge is required. You do not need to be a sommelier, but you should be comfortable talking about wine styles, regions and pairings
- Speaking French, English and German is a plus, not a requirement
- Guest-first attitude, you genuinely enjoy taking care of people
- Reliable, motivated and ready to learn
- Comfortable in a small, dynamic team
- Previous experience in hospitality is a plus, but not mandatory
