Since my fingers can no longer follow my brain’s instructions with a satisfactory degree of coherence, it’s time for me to pass on my Lowrey Prestige A5000 organ to someone who can take full advantage of its outstanding features. When new about a dozen years ago, the Lowrey Prestige was Lowrey’s top of the line model and sold for over $80,000. Currently, there is only one Lowrey Prestige model for sale on EBay in the USA; it is in Phoenix Arizona and their asking price is $8,000. Also, there are only about 2 dozen high-end Lowrey models for sale on EBay in the USA and their asking price ranges between $3,000. and $12,000. I am offering my Prestige for sale at a price of $2500. or best reasonable offer, even though it sounds and looks as good as when I bought it in 2016. Overall, this organ is in excellent condition. Included in this price are:
• The original matching bench seat with storage for sheet music and accessories
• A vintage piano stool for those who prefer more back support
• A very detailed 164-page owner’s manual
• A library of 235 professionally recorded songs on a thumb drive that can be played by the organ
• A headphone for private listening
• A microphone for merging voice or musical content into recordings
• 28 blank CD-R disks for recording
• 2 blank 125MB thumb drives for storing recorded music
• A light for supplementary illumination of sheet music
• A collection of 21 books of sheet music, covering the most popular songs from 1940 to 1980
The Lowrey Prestige sound quality is superb, thanks to the 5 channel, 15 Bose speaker system, where each speaker is custom tuned to reproduce the sounds of a specific group of musical instruments. The ability to choose from 216 different rhythm accompaniment styles and 432 different musical instrument or other (surf, dog bark, etc) sounds permits considerable opportunity for creative music composition. But the Prestige also has hundreds of built-in rhythm/instrument presets available to assist the organist in selecting the elements of song presentation. Serious potential buyers are welcome to come play or listen to the sounds of this organ.
In addition to its ability to make beautiful music, the Lowrey Prestige also has other very useful features:
• A CD drive to record and/or play your songs or the content of standard CD’s
• A large, color, touch-sensitive information screen
• A USB memory storage drive to store your songs or your custom rhythm/instrument pre-sets
• A natural wood cabinet in a cherry finish
• Microphone input/ headphone output connections permitting voice insertion and private listening
• Auxiliary and MIDI connections for other speakers and devices
• A matching foot board to protect the base pedal keyboard when it is not used
I have 2 dollies to help the buyer in moving the organ from our living room to a vehicle in the driveway, but at least 2 strong men will be required to safely move the organ down the 3 steps to the garage and driveway.
