Offering for sale this remarkable Welsh miner's lamp/lantern made of solid brass and copper by The Orvis Company Inc. It measures 8.5" tall (with an additional 3" hanging loop) x 3.25" wide. This particular lamp comes with a certificate of authenticity. Here's some additional information:

"Scarce vintage Orvis Company brass commemorative miner's lamp /lantern. Comes with original certificate that tells the history of the Welsh miners. Made by the Vale Metal Spinners Ltd. located in the Welsh coal fields at Hirwaun, Mid Glamorgan (Wales). Sold by Orvis fishing rod company in their stores in a very limited amount for a very brief time.
