I have 1 dark Cornish rooster and 6 white rock hens. Hens were hatched April 1st, purchased from cackle hatchery, rooster was hatched March 1st. The girls started laying the middle of September. The roo is feisty but from what I understand they all, or most, are. Hens are fine, never an issue. All are healthy and free range.
