The 99 I have used as a yard car, I use it as a wheelbarrow with heat, it keeps my tools dry and i can lock them up and keep my tools next to my work for the next day. Rear hatch keeps you dry from the rain so you can keep working also.
I lifted it 2 inches using new forester struts, 2 keys and keyless entry, it always starts, sometimes it has a missfire to it.

98 i got to fix for a winter beater, got it running and driving a year ago, put on new clutch slave and master cylinders.
I let the car sit for a year and security light flashes in the car doesn't even click when you try to start it now.
