Excellent product to Protect from any leaking out of asbestos in flooring, or lead from paint with lead
If you need to treat an asbestos floor (e.g. old trailer linoleum) before painting or laying down flooring - or paint with lead in it - I have excess of the ideal product (after much research) that seals it in, and then you can just paint over it, or leave it grey.
It is "PERFECT PRIMER Encapsulant," and I also have "Perfect Cleaner" which prepares surfaces first "and does not disturb asbestos mastics."
This is an expensive product, but it is HIGHLY reviewed, specialized for this purpose, easy-to-use, and necessary for human safety.
I ended up with significantly more than I needed - one full gallon, and one
more-than-half-full gallon of the Primer, + more than 1 1/2 packages of the Cleaner.
Each gallon treats 175-200 square feet (which includes both of the 2 needed coats).
New, this expensive but important and HIGHLY reviewed product is $240/gallon and one full Cleaner is $25.
I would discount the full can and full package by 30%.
So $265 become $185.50
I would discount the more than half gallon of Prefect Primer and more than half package of Cleaner by considering them as 1/2 of the product, and discount that by 30%. So $132.50 becomes $92.75.
DO look up Perfect Primer and see if you are as happy with this option - its quality and ease - as I was for my trailer floor.
