The Hakkapeliitta R5 is Nokian’s premium studless winter tire designed specifically for demanding winter driving. It uses Nokian’s Arctic Grip Crystal technology, which incorporates microscopic grip particles into the tread compound to improve traction as the tire wears. The R5 also uses Nokian’s Double Block Grip tread design for snow and ice traction while remaining considerably quieter than a studded winter tire.
