Shepard Group, Inc. is a Commercial Service Contracting Company (Celebrating 54 Years In Business) that is currently seeking a Third Shift Sweeper Operator to work (4) nights per week year round. This position is based out of Westport, MA.
The candidate must be able to understand and operate a vacuum truck and different types of equipment necessary to perform the job duties efficiently.
The job duties of the sweeper operator include (but are not limited to):
- Operating the vacuum truck to remove of sand/litter/debris from parking areas at each site
- Handpicking of litter & debris
- Using a handheld, gas powered blower to remove sand & debris from sidewalks and curbs
- Emptying trash receptacles & replacing liners at each site
- Completing your route slip during your shift
- Completing your Vehicle Pre-Inspection Form before each shift
- Cleaning your sweeper after each shift
- Emptying the hopper of your sweeper (into the dumpster located at the shop) after each shift
- Reporting any malfunctions/operational issues to the mechanic after each shift
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass a DOT physical
