Merrell Building Enterprise, Inc. is seeking a dependable Carpenter for residential remodeling projects throughout Carroll, Howard, Baltimore, and Frederick counties.
We will consider applicants with varying levels of experience—from someone beginning in the trade and willing to learn to an experienced carpenter capable of completing tasks more independently.
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
- $16–$40 per hour, based on relevant experience
- Independent-subcontractor opportunity
- Project-based and as needed
- Hours are not guaranteed
- Crews typically work approximately 32–45 hours when project work is available
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with or perform residential remodeling and carpentry tasks appropriate to your experience
- Assist with demolition, measuring, cutting, assembly, installation, and finish work
- Prepare and protect job-site work areas
- Load, unload, organize, and move tools and materials
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Work respectfully and professionally in customers’ homes
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license
- Own reliable transportation
- General-liability insurance
- Completed Form W-9
- Dependability and punctuality
- Ability to work safely with customers, crew members, tools, and building materials
A general-liability insurance certificate and completed W-9 will be required before beginning work. This independent-subcontractor opportunity does not include employee benefits.
