This is a very well-made wooden bookcase, although you can use it to store anything you want.
And the top makes for a nice shelf.
Made in 1965 specifically for this space--between a radiator and a window.
And the person who made it made furniture to last: it will last forever.
It is 37 2/3" wide, including a 3/4" lip/finishing panel at each end.
It is 8" deep. The case is 10" high, and then, below, there are two 8" brackets--also wooden, also custom-made.
It attaches to the wall with four screws: one in each bracket, and one on either side of the back of the interior.
The interior is 36" long, just under 10" high and 7 1/4" deep.
It is painted with off-white/cream alkyd.
No damage of any kind.
I haven't taken it off the wall but I can pretty much guarantee that it will be heavy.
But I should be able to get it into my car and can meet you with it anywhere on the North Shore.
