We are looking for a local hire in Nassau or Suffolk County
15-year minimum with 20 years preferred. Proven experience as an industrial and commercial lead electrician with a strong background in construction site work.
Tasks will vary, including working with the crew in the field, in the office, and meeting with customers.
**Overstating your ability and skills will be obvious very quickly.
We are flexible for persons who can perform this job with fewer years of experience.
We are flexible on compensation for ability and skill.
Have extensive HANDS-ON Field experience.
Can work in an office setting on pricing, job layouts, and bidding.
DUTIES:
You will be the interface between management and field workers. You need to be proactive, fair, balanced, and respected by the employees you oversee and represent.
Most importantly,
Able to help price and bid jobs
Proficiency in parts selection and ordering, understanding Lead times
Familiarity and functional understanding of rectifiers, transformers, and controls.
Familiarity and functional understanding of electric motors and their control systems.
Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including lighting, wiring, and control systems.
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations on construction sites.
Train and mentor junior electricians in best practices for electrical work.
