NYS DMV certification (MV-524) is preferred, but we will consider qualified candidates who are not currently certified and are willing and eligible to complete the NYS DMV instructor certification process (4 to 8weeks).
Qualifications for Non- Certified Instructors
Must be 21 years old or older
Clean driving record for 2 years & clean Background
Drug Free
Must maintain professional boundaries with students
High School Diploma or GED
Must pass Pre-requisites for DMV ( Vision test, Road Sign Test, Written Test & Instructors Road Test) to get MV-524
Qualifications for Certified Instructors
Must have DMV-524 certificate
must have valid Drivers license
Schedule: Approximately 26-35 hours per week depending on demand.
Duties
Conduct engaging and informative driving lessons for students of all ages, including teens and adults, in standard passenger cars
Guide students through practical exercises such as Parallel, 3-point turns, turning, using blinkers, reversing, obeying the rules of the road, handling the passenger car.
Assess student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback to enhance their skills and ensure readiness for licensing tests.
Maintain detailed records of each lesson and student performance.
Stay updated on the latest traffic safety regulations and instructional methodologies to deliver current and effective training.
