Location: Big Lake, Alaska
Schedule: Part-time — 2 days per week
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
We are looking for an experienced, dependable HR professional to work approximately 2 days a week for our growing company.
This is a hands-on position for someone who can keep our employee records and HR practices organized, help managers and employees, and make sure we are following employment laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
Maintain employee personnel files and records
Handle hiring paperwork, onboarding, and employee documentation
Help with employee policies and procedures
Track required training, certifications, and employee documents
Assist with employee performance issues and disciplinary documentation
Help managers with employee-related questions
Review timekeeping and attendance issues
Assist with payroll-related HR information
Help ensure compliance with federal and Alaska employment requirements
Keep HR records confidential and organized
Help develop and update employee policies and handbooks
Assist with workers' compensation and other employment-related paperwork
Qualifications
Previous HR experience required
Knowledge of Alaska and federal employment laws preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Good computer and record-keeping skills
Must be dependable and able to work independently
Experience with healthcare, assisted living, or a similar regulated workplace is a plus
