Price is negotiable. The location is unusually good. It’s technically in Mount Pleasant, right on the Lanier Heights border, in a leafy residential pocket between Mount Pleasant, Adams Morgan, and Lanier Heights. Roughly a 10-minute walk gets you to the main parts of each, so you’re on a quiet residential street but very close to a ton of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and other stuff.
You’re also just a few minutes’ walk from Rock Creek Park and the National Zoo, which is one of the best things about the location. You get incredibly easy access to trails and greenery while still being right in the middle of the city.
The apartment occupies the top two floors of a three-story DC home. Importantly, neither floor is underground. Downstairs is the kitchen and a large living/dining room with a projector and enormous screen. Upstairs are the bedroom, bathroom, and a genuinely huge office/guest room. I’ve listed it as two bedrooms; the second bedroom is currently set up as the office.
The apartment itself is minimalist and modern, but the rare minimalist modern that is actually warm and pretty rather than sterile. There are large windows that flood the apartment with gorgeous natural light, as well as good drapes when you don’t want the light.
The office is particularly great if you work from home. It’s brilliantly set up for it, including a very nice electric standing desk, a large monitor, and plenty of room to actually spread out and work.
There’s also a jacuzzi, which is a pretty unusual bonus for a DC apartment. You also have a reserved parking spot.
The Woodley Park–Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro on the Red Line is within walking distance, and Columbia Heights on the Green/Yellow lines is another option.
There are also a ridiculous number of grocery options nearby, ranging from a normal big-chain supermarket, to the requisite overpriced organic market, to small local Latino groceries.
If you’re interested, message me. PLEASE tell me a little bit about yourself when you write, just some background.
Rent is $3,950/month, negotiable. End date is flexible, but last possible one is Aug. 31st.
