We are a growing roofing and construction company seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our team.
This position is responsible for coordinating project schedules, making sure jobs are fully prepared before work begins, and keeping our field crews productive and projects moving efficiently.
What You’ll Do
Create and manage daily, weekly, and 2–3 week production schedules
Coordinate project start dates with customers, Project Managers, field supervisors, crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and office staff
Confirm projects are ready before scheduling, including permits, materials, customer selections, equipment, deliveries, and required documentation
Schedule projects based on crew availability, materials, permits, customer readiness, location, project requirements, and weather
Communicate with customers regarding anticipated start dates, schedule changes, delays, and project updates
Monitor weather conditions and adjust schedules when necessary
Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, dumpsters, permits, parking restrictions, and other project logistics
Assign crews and subcontractors based on availability, workload, skill set, and location
Communicate regularly with field supervisors and crew leaders regarding project progress and delays
Track active projects and adjust schedules to keep crews productive
Coordinate inspections, punch-list work, repairs, warranty items, and return visits
Maintain accurate project records, schedules, crew assignments, and customer communications
Collect and review weekly employee timesheets for payroll processing
Help maintain smooth communication between the office and field teams
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in construction scheduling, production coordination, roofing, project management, or a related field is preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to anticipate scheduling problems and resolve them before they affect production
Comfortable communicating with customers, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and management
Comfortable using email, calendars, spreadsheets, computers, and scheduling/project-management software
Knowledge of roofing, masonry, framing, and general construction terminology is preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, calm under pressure, and able to think several steps ahead. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving construction environment where schedules can change because of weather, materials, customer needs, or field conditions. This position supports projects throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia and may require travel to active job sites as needed. Company vehicles are available for work-related travel.
