Alchy Cocktails is growing, and I’m looking for a dependable, personable Operations Associate to help keep things moving in the kitchen and behind the market table.
We’re a Black and Gay-owned craft cocktail brand based in Washington, DC, making small-batch, ready-to-drink cocktails with premium spirits, fresh ingredients, and house-made syrups. This role is a chance to work directly with the founder and be part of the care, creativity, and customer connections that go into building a small business.
Location: Washington, DC
Pay: $20/hour; $18.40/hour during training
Schedule: Weekdays and weekends, based on production needs and the market and festival calendar
What you’ll do:
• Help prepare ingredients and assist with cocktail production, including batching, bottling, labeling, and packaging.
• Follow recipes and production instructions carefully to maintain consistency and quality.
• Keep the production area, equipment, and supplies clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Prepare inventory and supplies for markets, festivals, and customer orders.
• Help load and unload supplies and set up and break down our market booth.
• Welcome customers, share the story behind the brand, explain our cocktails, and support tastings.
• Process purchases, keep displays stocked, and track inventory.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service procedures.
Who I’m looking for:
• Someone dependable, punctual, and comfortable taking initiative.
• A friendly communicator who enjoys talking with people and feels comfortable selling.
• Someone who pays attention to details and follows directions.
• Someone comfortable with active work, including standing during shifts and helping move products and equipment.
• Someone available for weekday and weekend shifts.
Experience in hospitality, food or beverage production, retail, or event sales is a plus. A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and care for the customer experience matter, too.
