DOGE didn't “cut trillions.” In fact, our debt is growing at a record pace. One thing DOGE did do was cut funding for USAID that will lead to roughly 13–15 million people dying, about 5 million of them children under 5, by the year 2030.
Mexico never paid for a single inch of Trump's border wall — which he's hardly built any of in the first place. In 5½ years as president, he's built about 74 miles of net new border wall.
Prices didn't "come down on Day 1." We've been dealing with three-year-high inflation for most of 2026 and even before Trump's Iran war, inflation was basically exactly where it was when Biden left office.
Electric bills weren't "cut in half," as Trump promised they would be. They continue to rise at an even higher rate than they did under Joe Biden.
The war in Ukraine wasn't ended "with one phone call." It's still ongoing and bloodier than ever.
Trump never "very easily" eliminated the national debt. It just hit $40 trillion, and Trump is responsible for more of our national debt than any other president in history.
The economy isn't "in a new golden age." We've created just 548,000 jobs during Trump's first 18 months. That's down from the 2 million we created during Biden's last 18 months.
The tariffs weren't paid for by foreign governments. The overwhelming majority were paid for by U.S. consumers. And they didn't bring in "trillions," either. It was less than $200 billion (again, almost entirely paid for by American consumers), and now the businesses that paid them and passed those costs on to all of us are getting a rebate — but we won't. To repeat: tariffs are a tax hike on American consumers.
