Focused but fun Five-piece is on an interesting roll out. Piano/keyboard chair is open.
Currently in the Group:
Multi-genre Vocalist
Lead guitar/ multi player/ vocals
Lead / Rhythm Guitarist/ vocals
Creative intuitive Bassist
Drummer/ Percussionist/vocals
all of whom are already producing a good sound and vibe. Other experienced guests join in from time to time.
Four members have good vocals including harmony. Current regular players have joined together and worked up some interesting tunes during previous sessions in the studio. All members have various and wide ranging experience musically.
Selections from various genres and eras are mostly set and moving along nicely. Relying just on worn out "oldies" isn’t the main focus of this group. A few “standards” fit well into current set list but are done in an interesting mode. Everyone brings tune suggestions to add in and work up. Original tunes are currently starting to bubble up from the collective well which is quite deep. Plan is in place to do some recording starting in November.
Always open to another experienced instrumentalist(s) and/or vocalist(s) interested in adding to the mix.
Intermittent gigs, events, are “in the cards” but not so much that dreaded Roadhouse late night pack up routine (unless it’s worth it). Plug in and play studio is set up with amps, sound system, drum kit, ect.
This ensemble keeps its focus on tight but soulful vocals, snappy rhythm, edgy creativity, and good musician camaraderie.
Studio is located next to a forest preserve area of Montgomery County about 15 miles Northwest of DC.
