The house itself is a 1914 colonial rowhouse. It’s quirky but beautiful, with hardwood floors, a large kitchen, and updated appliances.
The lease would need to be signed through September 30, 2027 after completing a background and credit check.
Unfortunately, even though we love them, no pets are allowed.
Additional costs: Utilities are separate and include wifi, water, electric, and oil in the winter. They generally run around $200-300/person per month depending on the season (oil is only used during the winter). We also have a professional house cleaning service that runs about $50-70 per month depending on whether it’s a regular or deep clean, and we split the cost of shared cleaning and kitchen supplies as needed.
The Neighborhood: Truly the best! We’re just a short walk to Columbia Heights Metro (Yellow/Green lines), with lots of bus options nearby, and centrally located between Adams Morgan, Mt. Pleasant, Columbia Heights, and U Street. We’re also close to Meridian Hill Park and Rock Creek Park, plus Target, Giant, Lidl, and LOTS of great local shops & restaurants.
About us: The three current housemates are all women, working professionals, and in our 30s - ranging from early to later 30s. We’re looking for someone who is respectful, communicative, quiet during the work week, and very clean. Keeping the shared spaces clean and taking equal responsibility for the house is very important to us, so we’re looking for someone who has the same standards.
