Compensation: $40/hour
Location: Rhode Island
Position: Part-time, flexible hours
I’m launching a new, privately funded enrichment program designed to prepare teens ages 13–17 for the real world through practical, interactive workshops led by local professionals and subject-matter experts.
The program is geared toward families who value education, independence, confidence, and preparing their children for success beyond the classroom.
I’m seeking an organized, creative, and personable Program & Curriculum Coordinator to help develop the curriculum, recruit guest experts, and serve as the on-site host and facilitator for each workshop.
About the Program
Workshops will cover topics such as:
* Financial Literacy: Budgeting, credit, investing, banking, taxes, and insurance
* Professional Communication: Public speaking, presentations, etiquette, networking, and interviewing
* Health & Healthcare: Navigating medical appointments, understanding health insurance, and personal wellness
* Everyday Independence: Managing appointments, paperwork, contracts, scheduling, and responsibilities
* Career Readiness: Exploring careers, workplace expectations, leadership, and entrepreneurship
* Critical Thinking: Problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and digital literacy
* Personal Development: Confidence, resilience, accountability, and self-advocacy
Rather than traditional classroom instruction, students will learn directly from professionals such as financial planners, healthcare providers, business leaders, attorneys, entrepreneurs, and other experts.
Your Role
* Help develop and organize a thoughtful, age-appropriate workshop curriculum
* Identify, recruit, and coordinate local professionals to serve as guest instructors
* Collaborate with guest experts to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences
* Serve as the primary host and facilitator during workshops
* Lead introductions, discussions, activities, and transitions
* Ensure each session is interactive, practical, and relevant to teens
* Coordinate workshop materials, schedules, and basic logistics
* Gather participant feedback and continuously improve the program
Ideal Candidate
* Experience in education, curriculum development, youth programs, event programming, or community engagement
* Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
* Comfortable presenting and engaging groups of teenagers
* Creative and enthusiastic about experiential learning
* Able to recruit and coordinate professionals from different industries
* Professional, polished, reliable, and resourceful
* Interested in helping build and shape a new program from the ground up
Experience working with teens is strongly preferred.
