Most work that gets performed is actually just damage with an invoice attached:
Topping.
Flush cuts.
Lion-tailing.
Plantings that are way too deep.
Over-sheared shrubs and hedge-trimmed trees.
Mulch volcanoed up against trunks, suffocating trees, causing fatal girdling roots.
These aren't styles or preferences, they are mistakes, and you and your plants pay for them slowly. These errors show up in pest infestations, decay, poor aesthetics, and eventual failure. We see these things everyday on every landscape, without exception. It isn't malice. It's speed. A correct cut takes ten seconds longer than a fast one, a root flare takes an extra 2 minutes to expose for each planting, and crews get paid by the stop.
We're the other thing. We are educated, professional, and believe that our landscapes are important pieces of the overall environment, not separate from it, and should be treated with respect and consideration for the future.
Too often we have heard clients utter the phrase, "I could just kill my landscaper," after explaining to them why their landscapes are in slow decline. Well, now you can finally do just that by reaching out to us instead.
Here is what we currently offer:
-Pruning
Structural and selective pruning of shade trees, ornamentals, fruit trees, shrubs, and hedges. Deadwood and deadheading. Rejuvenation of overgrown plantings. House and structure clearance. Small tree takedowns. Hedgetrimming and topiary work for shrubs.
-Landscaping and Gardening
Weeding, removals, transplants, native plant installations, garden bed renewals, bed edging, design, and consulting. We specialize in root collar excavations, the removal of excess mulch, dirt, and problem roots. We can also mulch your beds, the right way, if the material can be dropped off on the property.
-Plant Health Care
IPM focused. Most issues can be treated with horticultural oil, diatomaceous earth, and other organic, general-use materials applied at the correct time in the correct way. We prefer to focus on fixing the underlying issues causing the pest's presence instead of selling pesticide sprays, which, without addressing those core issues, will usually have to be repeated frequently.
-Invasive plant solutions and weed control
Invasive weeds, vines, and small trees growing in your fence, woodland edges, property borders, and garden beds. Poison Ivy.
-Debris and Materials Transportation
We do NOT have a wood chipper yet. Most brush and debris stays on your property. It gets dragged to the woodland edge and stacked or scattered to break down. If appropriate, we can also haul material to the curb, use leaf bags, or even call a dumpster service if there's a lot of material. Some jobs are small enough where we can take the debris.
We work from the ground with pole tools — about 25-30 feet. That covers ornamentals, fruit trees, hedges, shrubs, and the lower canopy of larger shade trees, which is where most pruning is actually needed. Anything requiring a climber or a bucket truck, we'll tell you straight and refer you to someone who does it well. If we can't do something, we almost always have a recommendation for who can.

Send us photos of what you're looking to get done along with your town (We service all of RI). Sending us these pictures saves us all a wasted trip (we both work full-time jobs as well). Send more photos than you think, and if it's a fit, we'll come out and finalize everything and perform the work! Almost all work is done on Saturdays or Sundays.
