We are a licensed Michigan cannabis cultivation facility operating under both medical and adult-use programs. We run a high-output perpetual grow model across multiple flower rooms and are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Veg Room Manager to own our vegetative and clone operations from root to canopy.
Position Overview
The Veg Room Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of plants from clone propagation through vegetative development, ensuring a consistent, healthy, and compliant supply pipeline into our flower rooms. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires deep horticultural knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage both a team and a tightly scheduled perpetual grow cycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all daily operations of the clone room and veg room, including propagation, transplanting, training, and feeding schedules
• Maintain a perpetual plant pipeline synchronized with flower room harvest and flip schedules
• Monitor and dial in environmental controls — VPD, temperature, humidity, CO₂, and lighting — across all veg and clone spaces
• Develop and maintain mother plant inventory to support a consistent, vigorous clone program
• Execute and refine IPM protocols to prevent pest and pathogen pressure before plants enter flower
• Track all plant counts, room movements, and inventory with operations manager to ensure full compliance with Michigan LARA/MRA regulations
• Supervise and train veg team members on SOPs, plant care standards, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with the head grower and facility manager to plan room cycles, strain rotations, and canopy targets
• Flag and document any plant health issues, environmental anomalies, or compliance concerns promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all propagation and veg spaces to facility standards
Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on cannabis cultivation experience, with at least 2 years in a veg or propagation-focused role
• Demonstrated experience running a perpetual grow model — you understand how the veg pipeline feeds flower room schedules
• Working knowledge of soilless/hydroponic growing systems (experience with Grodan or other rockwool preferred)
• Strong understanding of plant physiology, deficiency identification, and corrective action
• Familiarity with IPM strategies and proper pesticide handling/documentation
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying environmental conditions
• Reliable, self-motivated, and communicates well with management and team members
• Michigan MRA Employee Badge required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Preferred:
• Experience managing or mentoring a small cultivation team
• Exposure to large-scale commercial flower operations (8+ rooms)
• Familiarity with room scheduling, grow calendars, and canopy planning
What We Offer
• Competitive hourly wage or salary based on experience
• Stable, growth-oriented facility with an established workflow
• Opportunity to grow into a senior cultivation role
• Team-oriented environment with experienced management
