Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience running and terminating Cat6 cabling for internet and security systems, with a strong eye for detail and quality. Background in audio-visual installation is a significant plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Run, terminate, and test Cat6 network cabling for data, security cameras, and related systems.
• Install and configure network devices, patch panels, and wall plates.
• Assist in installing and integrating security systems, including IP cameras.
• Work with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to spec.
• Maintain organized and labeled cable runs for easy future service.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, professional job site.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience with Cat6 cable installation and termination.
• Familiarity with network testing tools and troubleshooting methods.
• Basic understanding of security camera systems (IP preferred).
• Audio-Visual installation experience (mounting TVs, running HDMI, speaker wiring) is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and follow floor plans, wiring diagrams, and job specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders or in tight spaces.
• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and construction environments.
