Malu Tiny Homes is growing, and we need an organized, dependable person to keep the office running so our team can stay focused on building and selling homes.
We build custom tiny homes and registered trailers made with aloha. Our models are the Salt Line, Offshore, Barrel Room, Longboard, Swell House, Tideline, Shorebird, Reef Break, Windward 20'x20', Sandbar 20'x30' and Curl 20'x40'. We also offer off-grid solar, catchment systems, water heaters, trailer fabrication and land clearing.
What you'll do:
• Keep our books current, including invoices, bills, receipts and bank reconciliations in QuickBooks or similar software
• Track customer deposits, payments and job costs for each build
• Handle payroll and contractor payments, and work with our CPA on GET and tax filings
• Manage the owner's calendar, emails and follow-ups
• Answer customer calls and messages, and keep leads updated in our CRM
• Organize customer agreements, change orders, supplier orders and build schedules
• Post job ads, schedule interviews and onboard new hires and subcontractors
• Keep employee files, W-4s, W-9s, I-9s and insurance certificates up to date
What we're looking for:
• Experience in bookkeeping, office management or HR (2+ years preferred)
• Comfortable with QuickBooks, Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to keep things confidential
• Friendly and clear when talking with customers, crews and vendors
• Based in Hawaiʻi (Maui preferred), with reliable transportation
• Experience in construction, real estate or small business is a plus
• Familiarity with CRMs like GoHighLevel is a plus
