A local construction company specializing in site utilities and plumbing is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Purchaser to manage procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies as part of a team of 2–3 purchasers.
Key Responsibilities
• Source materials and negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms with vendors.
• Manage purchase orders, supplier relationships, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor purchasing costs, maintain accurate records, and resolve supplier issues.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing efficiency.
Qualifications
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar role.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with purchasing or inventory software.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of vendor management, budgeting, and cost control is a plus.
