Maintenance technician / apartment turnover – North Crane Living (Vero Beach)
Enjoy fixing things and seeing a job through? North Crane Living is looking for a maintenance technician to handle everyday repairs and help get apartments ready for new residents.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, follows through, and treats residents and their homes with care.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Handle everyday repairs: leaking faucets, running toilets, simple drain clogs, sticking doors, locks, screens, blinds and cabinets.
• Help with apartment turnovers: patch and paint, caulk, make small repairs, check fixtures and equipment, and complete a turn checklist with the manager.
• Troubleshoot A/C and appliance problems, perform routine maintenance within your training, and flag jobs that need a specialist.
• Keep work areas clean, report leaks and safety concerns promptly, and help with basic property upkeep.
• Follow the manager’s schedule and entry instructions, keep residents informed, and use a phone to add photos and short work notes.
• Check that the repair works before calling it finished.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU DO WELL
• Hands-on maintenance or repair experience. Apartment, hotel, building maintenance and residential repair backgrounds are all welcome.
• Comfort with everyday plumbing, door and hardware repairs, basic A/C troubleshooting, and neat patching and painting.
• Safe tool use, dependable follow-through, and the judgment to ask for help when a job is outside your training.
• A respectful manner with residents, the ability to follow a checklist, and the ability to travel between local properties.
Apartment turnover, appliance repair or mini-split A/C experience is a plus. EPA Section 608 certification is helpful; refrigerant work requiring certification will be assigned only to appropriately certified technicians. Prior Rent Manager experience isn’t necessary.
This is an active job that includes standing, bending, using tools and moving materials. Work must be performed safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay: $24 - $30 depending on skill
