Seeking Research & Tech Assistant for Local Author (Venice, FL)
An 85-year-old author is seeking a reliable part-time assistant for a few hours a week (1–2 days) to assist with research and basic tech support for a third book project. Work will take place in person at the Jacaranda Public Library in Venice, Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research & Synthesis: Read, comprehend, and summarize information clearly for inclusion in the manuscript.
• Basic Tech & File Management: Assist with setting up audio-to-text transcription tools, organized file handling, and organizing dictation files.
• AI & System Setup: Help input reference materials into Gemini AI and assist with basic navigation on a Linux system.
Qualifications & Details:
• Strong reading comprehension and clear summarization skills are essential.
• Patient, tech-savvy, and comfortable working with basic computer setups.
• Open to all ages (attentive students, adults, or active seniors are welcome to apply).
