It is a rich gold colour, with a cool industrial or MCM vibe. It is intended to be hardwired, is dimmable, adjustable and articulates.
We used it in our loft, but it would work well bedside, above a bathroom vanity or in a kitchen etc.
We have reconfigured our space and (sadly) no longer need this lovely light. We purchased it for $395 CDN and it was in use for less than a year, so is a great deal! It now retails for nearly $450 Canadian.
