POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Clerk (Sales Associate), you are the face of our business. You’re responsible for maintaining excellent service standards, including product suggestions, conducting sales transactions, and maintaining the store’s cleanliness and appeal. You will also support product stocking and rotation, as well as special merchandising / seasonal displays as required. You will be aware of and abide by the laws and regulations concerning the sale of liquor, including ID checks, and will possess your Serving It Right certification. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide customers with a professional and friendly service at all times
Ensure customer-facing and storage / logistics areas of the business are clean and organized
Conduct till transactions including cash and credit card sales in accordance with standard operating procedures
Restock and rotate stock in accordance with standard operating procedures (must be able to lift 40lbs)
Ensure all transactions are in compliance with the Liquor Control Act and other applicable legislation
Support a culture of continuous improvement through identifying opportunities for an improved staff and customer experience, including safety hazards.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Serving It Right Certification
Minimum 1 year retail customer service
Strong verbal communication skills
Strong customer service skills and a desire to support a great guest experience
Comfort with and accuracy in conducting sales transactions
Able to follow instructions including standard operating procedures, with or without supervision
Lifting and stocking of products up to 40lbs
Can receive orders and unload pallets
