Rocky Ascents: Train Your Body. Free Your Mind.
If you're in your 30s, 40s, 50s or beyond and you've spent years grinding at work, raising a family, and putting yourself last this is for you. Not to turn you into an athlete. Not to get you stage-ready. But to make sure that the life you've worked so hard to build, you actually get to enjoy.
My name is Alexandru. I'm a UBC Kinesiology grad, NSCA-Certified Clinical Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and I've spent 14 years competing in combat sports. I started Rocky Ascents because I believe training should fit your life, not the other way around.
How I train is different.
Most programs throw exercises at you. I focus on movement. The way your body is actually designed to push, pull, hinge, squat, and lift. These are the foundations of everything, getting off the floor, carrying groceries, keeping up with your kids, staying out of the physio's office. We build from the ground up, with technique at the centre of everything, because moving well is what keeps you training for years not just weeks.
This isn't just a workout. It's a reset.
I know what stress does to a person. Rocky Ascents was built intentionally to be a place where you can leave everything at the door or bring it in and talk about it. Nothing is off limits here. Come in, work hard, clear your head. The training floor is your hour. Whatever you need it to be.
Combat training is also on the table.
Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai are available for anyone looking to learn self-defence, build confidence, or just try something completely different. Especially welcoming to women. No experience needed.
Let's start with a free session.
No commitment, no sales pitch. We train, we talk about your goals, and we figure out if we're a good fit. I work out of my own private facility, and I also offer mobile and online training if that suits you better.
Reach out even if you just have a question. I mean that.
