I'm looking for one or two highly experienced movers to help remove a heavy safe from a townhouse in Yaletown, Vancouver.
Safe Specifications:
- Weight: 280 kg (approximately 617 lbs)
- Dimensions: 1886 × 568 × 540 mm
- The safe cannot be disassembled, and the door cannot be removed to reduce its weight.
Job Details:
The safe needs to be moved down a flight of wooden stairs with a relatively tight landing. Another moving company assessed the job and felt that a stair-climbing machine might not fit through the landing.
I'll attach photos of the staircase and landing so you can assess the situation.
Once the safe reaches the ground floor, it should be relatively straightforward to move it outside and load it onto our truck.
Requirements:
I'm specifically looking for someone with extensive, hands-on experience moving heavy safes, vaults, or similarly heavy equipment down stairs.
It's essential that the job is completed without damaging the hardwood floors, wooden stairs, walls, railings, or surrounding property. The right person must know how to properly secure and control the safe throughout the descent and protect the property from scratches, dents, and other damage.
This is not a job for someone with general moving experience alone. I need someone who has successfully handled similar situations and understands the equipment and techniques required.
When responding, please explain:
- Your experience moving heavy safes or similar equipment.
- How you would approach this particular staircase and tight landing.
- What equipment and protective materials you would use.
- How you would prevent damage to the hardwood floors, stairs, walls, and railings.
- Whether you've completed similar jobs before.
PAY: $100 GUARANTEED FOR THE JOB
The job may take as little as 20–30 minutes for someone experienced. The $100 payment is guaranteed regardless of how quickly the job is completed.
Location: Yaletown, Vancouver
Date: To be arranged.
I'll provide photos of the staircase, landing, and safe to help you evaluate the job.
Please respond with a brief description of your relevant experience and your proposed approach. References or photos of previous safe-moving jobs are welcome.
Serious inquiries only. Experience, proper technique, and protecting the property are essential.
