Located in the heart of Mount Pleasant on Main Street, The Cascade Room is a lively neighbourhood gastrolounge known for its welcoming atmosphere, elevated casual food and one of Vancouver’s most respected bar programs. Our menu features BC craft beer, Old and New World wines, signature creations, classic cocktails and a carefully curated selection of whiskies and spirits.
The Role
This is a combined bartending and serving position. You will work both behind the bar and on the floor, so strong experience in both areas is required. Responsibilities include:
Preparing high-quality cocktails quickly and consistently
Providing knowledgeable, attentive table and bar service
Taking orders accurately and managing a busy section
Confidently discussing our food, cocktails, beer, wine and spirits
Maintaining an organized and efficient bar and service area
Working closely with the front- and back-of-house teams
Creating a warm, welcoming experience for every guest
What We’re Looking For
Applicants must:
Have professional bartending and serving experience
Possess strong knowledge of both classic and contemporary cocktails
Make consistently excellent drinks at speed
Manage a busy serving section efficiently
Remain organized, accurate and composed during high-volume service
Be available for 3–4 shifts per week, including weekends
Hold a valid Serving It Right certificate
Speed is especially important. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role, and successful applicants must be able to produce quality cocktails quickly while also delivering efficient, attentive table service.
Please do not apply if you lack professional cocktail-making and serving experience, strong knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, or the ability to work quickly during busy services.
To apply, please send your résumé along with a short note outlining your relevant bartending and serving experience.
- Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
