Looking for a Director of Photography / Camera Operator for a premium short form narrative series shot natively in 9:16 vertical.
This is not social media sketch content. We're making cinematic narrative work designed from the ground up for vertical: composed, blocked, and lit for a 9:16 frame, not cropped from 16:9. Episodes run 1 to 3 minutes.
THE SHOOT
- Two camera production on every dialogue and performance scene
- Static scenes: you operate A cam, B cam locked off and monitored
- Handheld and moving scenes: second operator brought on as needed
- Scheduled by location, cast, and lighting setup, so multiple episodes are shot per block
- Small, experienced crew. We put the money where audiences see it: image, lighting, sound, and performances
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- A reel showing narrative work, with strong lighting and composition
- Experience running two camera dialogue coverage and lighting for both angles at once
- Comfort leading a lean camera and lighting team and moving efficiently without cutting corners
