For sale is a 2014 Chevy Volt to fix and drive. Could be a great parts car. Runs and drives EV only. Needs to have the main radiator replaced.
It has a healthy High Voltage battery and charging system with a 30-32 mile range. Gas motor can't be run due to no coolant for it but the motor itself is in good shape. It drives great on EV only which you can do in the summer but under a certain outside temperature, it will start the gas engine and it would overheat with no coolant. I have not overheated it. The Auxilliary radiator was recently replaced after an animal hit, should have had them replace the main radiator too.
Read below for the list of fixable issues. If I had the time and space, I'd love to fix it myself and keep it going.

Known fixable issues:
-Main radiator needs to be replaced. Replaced the Auxiliary radiator about a year ago after an animal hit, should have replaced the main radiator while we were at it. Replacement part is not expensive, but it takes a lot of labor to get it replaced.
-Check engine light is coming on for a P0442 error - Evaporative emission system small leak - I had a cable assembly replaced that goes from the front of the car back to the gas tank. This cable assembly fixed an issue where pushing the button to refuel didn't do anything. There is a hint of a gas smell after using the car, I would bet that the seal for the repaired cable needs to be reseated but I can't guarantee that's the issue.
-front shocks are due for replacement
-Tailgate doesn't stay open when it's cold out, car includes new, in box replacement tailgate shocks
-portable charger (included) could use a new plug, wire coating has a tear at the plug, works fine
-passenger sun visor has a broken clip, works fine just doesn't lock in place
-old enough to be on 3G cell signal which is no longer available so onstar and car app connectivity won't work, can still connect a mobile device bluetooth to the car and the nav system on the car still works
-has normal wear and tear, dings and scratches on the body and interior
-dings, dents and scrapes on the top from a roof rack mishap
-roof antennae bent and top part missing from roof rack mishap
-rust spots starting near rear wheels
-rust spot bottom of driver's door
-right front bumper plastic damage from animal hit
-windshield has a crack that was repaired
-slow leak on two tires when parked for a few days
-due for an oil change
-motor mounts are due for replacement, original ones still intact
-paint chip on driver side rear door
The Volts will run on EV only as long as you have charge in the HV battery and the temperature outside isn't below 30 degrees or so. The car is drivable on EV only and drives great. The car has been well maintained over the ~10 years, ~160,000 miles that I've driven it and has had a lot of work done. I have a lot of the service records that I can provide if wanted. Best car I've ever had.
