- Near-perfect standardized test scores (GRE 338/340)
- Recent student raised SAT Math from 600 → 780. (I also offer verbal SAT/ACT tutoring if needed.)

Teaching Style
--------------
I focus on trying to develop a student's intuition and reasoning, especially connecting the different “worlds” of math: equations, graphs, and formal definitions. I've found that often these different aspects of math can feel disconnected for students, and it really starts to click when they see how they work together.
I specialize in working with students who:
- are capable but frustrated
- dislike “formula memorization” approaches
- need a deeper conceptual explanation
- have ADHD, autism, or learning differences that make standard instruction ineffective

Based in the Portland, Oregon area, we serve the DC area virtually via Zoom. I've found that virtual teaching is very effective for math; the combination of a shared whiteboard and online graphing applications like desmos, offers a rich interface for learning.
