About Teaze Cafe
Teaze Cafe is a new food and beverage concept opening at Oakland Mall in Troy, Michigan.
Our menu includes:
* Bubble teas, milk teas and fruit teas
* Mochi donuts
* French fries
* Fried chicken
* Crispy chicken sandwiches
We are looking for friendly, dependable and energetic team members to join our opening team.
This is a cross-trained position, so team members will learn multiple areas of the cafe, including drinks, food preparation, donuts, front counter, cleaning and restocking.
Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.
Position Summary
As a Cafe Team Member, you will help prepare high-quality drinks and food while providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong standards for cleanliness, food safety and consistency.
Team members are expected to follow recipes and Standard Operating Procedures carefully.
Key Responsibilities
Bubble Tea & Beverages
* Prepare bubble teas, milk teas, fruit teas and specialty drinks.
* Measure teas, syrups, powders, milk and toppings accurately.
* Prepare tapioca pearls, popping boba, jellies and other toppings.
* Operate drink mixers, shakers and cup-sealing equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organized beverage station.
* Restock cups, lids, straws, syrups, powders and toppings.
Mochi Donuts
* Assist with preparing mochi donut batter or dough.
* Operate donut and frying equipment after training.
* Glaze, coat and decorate donuts according to company standards.
* Monitor freshness and product quality.
* Clean and sanitize donut preparation equipment.
Fried Chicken & Hot Food
* Prepare, bread and cook chicken according to company recipes.
* Prepare French fries and other fried items.
* Assemble crispy chicken sandwiches/burgers.
* Operate commercial fryers after proper training.
* Follow safe food-handling procedures when working with raw chicken.
* Monitor cooking times, temperatures and product quality.
Customer Service
* Greet customers and provide friendly service.
* Explain menu items and answer customer questions.
* Enter orders accurately into the POS system.
* Process cash, card and digital payments.
* Prepare and hand out orders accurately.
* Assist with customer concerns in a professional manner.
Food Preparation & Stocking
* Brew tea and prepare ingredients for daily operations.
* Portion toppings, sauces and food ingredients.
* Label and date prepared products.
* Rotate inventory using FIFO.
* Restock supplies throughout the shift.
* Help organize deliveries and storage areas.
Cleaning & Food Safety
All team members are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
Responsibilities include:
* Cleaning counters, equipment and preparation areas.
* Washing and sanitizing utensils.
* Sweeping and mopping floors.
* Emptying trash.
* Maintaining clean customer-facing areas.
* Following opening and closing cleaning procedures.
* Practicing proper handwashing and glove use.
* Preventing cross-contamination.
* Keeping raw chicken separate from ready-to-eat foods.
* Following proper food temperatures, labeling and storage procedures.

Experience
Restaurant, cafe, bubble tea, bakery, fast-food or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
* Bubble tea preparation
* Coffee shops or cafes
* Fried chicken or fast-food restaurants
* Bakeries or donut shops
* Commercial kitchens
* POS systems
* Food preparation
Physical Requirements
This position may require employees to:
* Stand and walk for extended periods
* Bend, reach and perform repetitive movements
* Work around hot cooking equipment
* Lift and carry supplies weighing approximately 25–40 lbs
* Work efficiently during busy periods
