10/22: Free OpenMic featuring Manteca Poet Laureate TARA RICO @ Tracy Library (Tracy CA)
QR Code Link to This Post
and brought to you by Tracy Friends of the Library.
TARA RICO Ma. Ed is the Poet Laureate of Manteca Ca, founder of Poeticas Institute, and has worked professionally in education since 2014.
Tara grew up in Manteca and often spent time with her cousins and grandparents and extended family in Tracy at their small family ranch off of Von Sosten Road.
Tara writes about being a Latino child of adoption raised by a Portuguese and Italian family, her relatable and often humorous grapples with identity, and the love that she has continued to unearth in the midst of life’s darknesses.
When she’s not writing or teaching you can catch her acting in local theater productions, crafting with the locals, or adventuring outdoors with her family.
