A deadly biological weapon, a stolen virus and a race against time to prevent global catastrophe!
From director John Sturges (The Great Escape, The Magnificent Seven) comes this gripping Cold War science-fiction thriller based on the novel by Alistair MacLean, originally published under the pseudonym Ian Stuart.
George Maharis stars as Lee Barrett, a former intelligence agent called back into action when a deadly biological weapon is stolen from a top-secret government research facility. The stolen substance, known as the Satan Bug, is capable of unleashing an unstoppable epidemic that could wipe out humanity. With the clock ticking, Barrett must track down the terrorists responsible before they unleash their terrifying weapon.
Featuring Richard Basehart, Anne Francis and Dana Andrews, The Satan Bug combines Cold War paranoia, espionage, biological warfare and suspense into an entertaining 1960s thriller.
