Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter(s) to join our established painting business. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. Your expertise will help transform spaces, whether residential, commercial, with precision and craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from restorations to new constructions, contributing to the visual appeal and durability of structures.
Responsibilities
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
• Execute painting tasks using a variety of techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless and conventional spray) not required
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks
• Apply coatings accurately on structural elements such as stucco, masonry, concrete finishes, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration projects
• Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols on construction sites
• Assist with renovation projects by interpreting schematics and performing related carpentry or handyman tasks as needed
Qualifications
• Proven experience in painting including residential, commercial, or restoration projects
• Strong knowledge of color theory and visual color comparison techniques for achieving consistent finishes
• Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as sanding, caulking, plastering, and masonry work
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding or ladder use for elevated work
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection and hazard awareness
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; experience reading blueprints is highly desirable
• Knowledge of coating types such specialty finishes is a plus
