Aerospace & Defense Machining | Day Shift | Tempe, AZ
This is NOT an entry-level CNC operator position.
We are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist who knows how to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and produce precision-machined components to demanding aerospace and defense specifications.
If you have extensive CNC lathe experience, understand GD&T, can independently handle setups, and take pride in producing quality parts, we would like to hear from you.

THE EQUIPMENT YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH
Our shop features two large-capacity CNC turning centers:
• Mazak QTN-350MY with 12" chuck, live tooling, and Y-axis capability.
• Yama Seiki GS-3300Y with 12" chuck, live tooling, and Y-axis capability.
Mazak (running EIA Code) and Fanuc controls.
We machine a wide variety of materials, including:
• Aluminum
• Stainless steel
• High-strength carbon steel
• Ultem
• Teflon
• Vespel
• Other specialty alloys and engineering plastics.
WHAT WE REQUIRE
Please read these qualifications carefully before applying.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on CNC lathe machining and setup experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in aerospace and/or defense manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Proven ability to independently set up and run CNC lathes.
• Experience making tooling selections, setting work and tool offsets, and making program adjustments.
• Ability to inspect your own work using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Experience machining a variety of materials and maintaining tight tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality parts.
• Reliable employment history and interest in a long-term position.
Fanuc control experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with live tooling, Y-axis machining, and complex turning operations is highly desirable.
Full CNC programming experience is beneficial but not required. We need someone who can confidently set up machines, make adjustments, troubleshoot problems, and produce good parts without constant supervision.

LOCATION AND EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
• Work location: Tempe, Arizona.
• This is an on-site position.
• Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Tempe.
