ASSISTANT EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE MANAGER – $60K-$65K – MANUFACTURING (Tempe)

NOW HIRING - ASSISTANT EQUIPMENT SERVICES SUPERVISOR (2ND SHIFT)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Supervise and support mechanics and set-up technicians during second shift
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing and packaging equipment
• Provide hands-on technical support for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues
• Work with equipment such as mixers, blenders, conveyors, tablet presses, filling equipment, and packaging machinery
• Assist maintenance technicians with complex equipment troubleshooting and repairs
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs
• Identify recurring equipment problems and help reduce downtime
• Coordinate equipment installations, adjustments, modifications, and testing
• Review maintenance work orders, repair histories, and downtime reports
• Assign and prioritize daily maintenance activities based on production needs
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to maintenance personnel
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Support equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with Production and Management to keep equipment operating efficiently

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial manufacturing or packaging equipment maintenance experience; 3-5 years preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience working with motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and industrial manufacturing machinery
• Ability to diagnose equipment problems and perform hands-on repairs
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment repair procedures
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs) preferred
• Understanding of industrial safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
• Previous experience as a Lead Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Lead, or similar leadership role preferred but not required
• Experience in food, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or other manufacturing environments preferred
• Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance work order systems preferred
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to prioritize maintenance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance or related field preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
