Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth and welcoming guest flow.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Toast, processing sales transactions efficiently.
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
Provide expert recommendations on menu items, including wine pairings, spirits, cocktails, and specialty drinks to enhance the guest experience through upselling techniques.
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling, drink service, and table clearing.
Manage cash handling accurately, including processing cash transactions and balancing receipts at shift end.
Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
Promote a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues across all restaurant departments.
Qualifications
Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Toast; experience with OpenTable is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to serve guests better.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in math calculations.
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices required for safe food handling.
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
Experience working in diverse settings such as nightclubs or high-end restaurants is desirable.
Basic math skills for processing sales transactions and managing bills confidently.
