Belt Construction is looking for a highly motivated individual with 15+ years experience in construction estimating. This position will assist our construction manager in obtaining, estimating and managing construction projects. Appropriate incentives will be provided for achieving revenue and profitability goals.
Accountable for planning and allocating resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
About The Company:
Belt has provided general contracting services in the Tampa Bay area for over 70 years. Belt Construction provides project management services on commercial and industrial projects. Our personnel are capable of managing small to mid-size projects with the skill set to self-perform concrete and masonry construction.
Responsibilities:
• Determine and define the project scope including all the resources needed (equipment, manpower, materials) with attention to budget constraints. Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for construction manager’s review.
• Obtain actionable permits from the appropriate authorities.
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
• Supervise the work of all the laborers and provide them with guidance as to technical, safety, code and budget requirements of the project. Report construction progress to the Construction Manager.
• Prepare RFIs and shop drawings for collaboration with engineers, architects, and other parties included in the construction project.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook & Excel
• Knowledgeable in Scheduling or Estimating Software
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
• Driver’s License (Required)
