Experienced Bartender – Management Opportunity (Airmont, NY)

The Mill at Sutter’s is seeking an experienced, dependable full-time bartender with the potential to advance into a management position.

We are looking for someone who can provide excellent service, handle a busy bar confidently, and take ownership of their shift. The right candidate will be reliable, organized, professional, and interested in growing into a leadership role as the business expands.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, and wine accurately and consistently
• Providing friendly, attentive service to bar and restaurant guests
• Handling busy and late-night shifts efficiently
• Entering orders and processing payments accurately
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar
• Following drink recipes, portion standards, and responsible-service procedures
• Helping monitor inventory and communicating low-stock items
• Completing opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities
• Supporting servers, barbacks, kitchen staff, and management
• Helping maintain service standards and guide other employees when needed

Qualified candidates should have:

• Previous bartending experience in a restaurant or high-volume bar
• Strong knowledge of common cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
• Full-time availability, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and late-night shifts
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Strong customer-service, communication, and problem-solving skills
• The ability to stay organized and professional under pressure
• An interest in taking on additional responsibility and developing into a management role

Previous supervisory or restaurant-management experience is helpful but not required. Advancement is based on performance, reliability, leadership ability, and the needs of the business.
