Job Responsibilities
Assist mechanics with repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment.
Help diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and equipment-related problems.
Assist with removing, repairing, and replacing parts and components.
Perform oil changes, filter changes, lubrication, and routine maintenance.
Inspect equipment for worn, damaged, or defective components.
Assist with repairs to engines, brakes, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other equipment components.
Use hand tools, power tools, jacks, and other shop equipment safely.
Clean parts, equipment, tools, and work areas.
Help maintain an organized and safe shop.
Follow all company safety procedures and instructions from the lead mechanic.
Qualifications
Previous mechanical, automotive, diesel, construction equipment, or heavy equipment experience preferred.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
Ability to follow instructions and work alongside experienced mechanics.
Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and working around heavy equipment.
Dependable and able to report to work on time.
Ability to work safely in shop and field environments.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to work full-time.
Compensation
$20–$25 per hour+++ based on experience
Pay will be determined by mechanical experience, knowledge, and demonstrated ability.
