We are seeking a skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join a professional property management team. The ideal candidate has hands-on multifamily experience and strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance. This role is responsible for maintaining apartments, common areas, and grounds while providing timely, professional service to residents and completing work orders efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Complete apartment maintenance and service requests in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general maintenance issues
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including make-ready work
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed
• Inspect apartments and common areas and identify maintenance needs
• Maintain pools, mechanical rooms, and other community equipment as applicable
• Assist with exterior and grounds maintenance when needed
• Maintain accurate work-order records and document completed repairs
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work areas
• Provide professional and courteous service to residents
• Work closely with the Property Manager and maintenance team to ensure the community is well maintained
Qualifications
• 1+ year of apartment or property maintenance experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general maintenance
• Ability to complete apartment turns/make-readies
• HVAC certification/EPA and CPO certification preferred
• Experience with preventative maintenance
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license may be required
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, if required
